Since 1989, Pacific Salmon Foundation and Fisheries and Oceans Canada have been working together to support salmon and stewardship through the annual Salmon Conservation Stamp competition. Every year the winning image is selected at the competition to be displayed on the Salmon Conservation Stamp. All anglers must purchase a new stamp each year and affix it to their tidal water license if they wish to retain any species of salmon. All proceeds from the sale of each conservation stamp are contributed to the Foundation to help support salmon restoration and enhancement efforts in BC.
Limited edition prints of these winning images can be purchased through the Foundation both framed or unframed. All proceeds help support salmon conservation efforts. The Salmon Conservation Stamp competition is a great opportunity for artists to gain exposure while supporting Pacific salmon conservation. To enter or to read more information about competition rules, download the Salmon Conservation Stamp Rules and Entry Form. The Foundation encourages prospective artists to read the rules and regulations carefully. The Foundation encourages and welcomes representational images such as First Nations art, as such not all entries will include traditional habitat backgrounds.
