Are you an organization conducting sustainable research or initiatives in the mid-Vancouver area? The 2019 Regional Research Conference is the perfect opportunity to spread awareness of your work and network with other researchers and organizations in the area. Register today on eventbrite.

The Conference is aimed at bringing together individuals conducting research projects or initiativesvrelated to the three pillars of sustainability -- Economic, Environmental, and Social and Cultural -- within the Mount Arrowsmith Biosphere Region and surrounding areas.

The main Conference will be hosted from June 13 to 14, 2019 at the Parksville Community Centre (132 Jensen Avenue East, Parksville). An additional workshop will be offered on June 12. Buy your tickets today!

A major outcome of the 2019 Regional Research Conference will be an interactive online map showcasing the location and basic details of research projects occurring in the mid-Vancouver Island
area. A preliminary map will be released at the Conference showcasing the location of the projects being presented.

In order to spread awareness of developing projects or non-research initiatives, we are inviting interested individuals or organizations to submit a poster concept. Posters will be showcased throughout the entire Conference, with specific times set aside for attendees to visit the posters and chat with those who submitted them.

Deadline
This call for applications to present a poster at the 2019 Regional Research Conference is due Friday, May 3, 2019 by 5:00PM PST. There is limited space available, so accepted applications will be announced by May 17, 2019.

Once accepted, posters must be submitted by May 31, 2019 to qualify for free printing - any organizations submitting posters after this date must cover their own printing charges.
