Port Metro Vancouver is the fourth largest tonnage port in North America and gateway to more than 160 economies. But long before shipping vessels were common here, salmon spawned and travelled in these port waters. Port Metro Vancouver partners with the Pacific Salmon Foundation to help protect  and restore salmon habitat in  its operating areas. Since 2008, the Port has donated almost $275,000 to community-led conservation initiatives and supported through sponsorship  of the Foundation’s Pink Salmon Festival.
