Langara Fishing Adventures has built its reputation on providing the greatest fishing and wildlife adventures in the world. At Langara Fishing Lodge, you and a guest will enjoy first-class service, gourmet dining and comfortable accommodations in one of North America’s most remote and scenic destinations. Your Langara adventure is an all-inclusive four or five day trip, including air travel from Vancouver to Haida Gwaii and a scenic helicopter flight to the lodge.

You will fish from a private unguided boat with all the necessary fishing equipment, wet-weather gear, and care of your catch provided. Langara Island’s sheltered waters make this a terrific experience for both serious and novice anglers, and guided fishing is available as an option. Reservations are required and are based upon availability during May, June, July, or September of the 2018 season or May, June or September of 2019. The winning bidder may purchase up to two additional trips at a discount of $200 off seasonal rates.

“Spawning Salmon” Carved First Nations Panel

This carved cedar panel titled “Spawning Salmon” is by Kwa’kwa’ka’wakw artist William Henderson. The piece depicts a pair of salmon, which is a symbol for good luck. William was born and raised in Campbell River and was taught to carve by his father, renowned master carver Bill Henderson. William comes from a culturally devoted family and is dedicated to teaching song and dance to younger generations, as well as participating in traditional potlatch ceremonies to maintain cultural traditions.

“Wannock Future” Carved Cedar Salmon

David Maki has created this very special carving titled “Wannock Future” in support of the Pacific Salmon Foundation. This one-of-a-kind piece depicts one of the famed Wannock Chinook, and is dedicated by Dave to the the Oweekeno First Nation and all those involved in making the Percy Walkus Hatchery in Rivers Inlet a success. The level of detail on this piece is amazingly intricate and features more than 10,000 scales. Using a length and girth calculation this salmon would weigh 72lbs! The bait ball is a separate piece and is just as detailed.
