With over 15 years’ experience in media, public relations and communications, Jollean Willington has a strong sense of story development and a passion for creating strategic, innovative plans, and curating compelling content that connects people.
Working as Rick Hansen’s publicist and as a member of the Rick Hansen Foundation’s (RHF) senior leadership team, Jollean led all media engagements during Canada’s 150th year and the 30th anniversary of the completion of the Man in Motion World Tour. Prior to that, Jollean planned strategic media and public relations outreach for many organizations such as UBC’s Alma Mater Society, Tides Canada, and the B.C. Schizophrenia Society. She has also taught strategic business communications at BCIT and headed Creative Arts at Langara College for several years.
An avid outdoors person, Jollean looks forward to sharing the PSF mission, bringing salmon back stream by stream, through partnerships and leveraged use of resources, using her tools of choice, public and media relations, issues management, media training and brand journalism.
