A prominent figure in local politics, Pamela Goldsmith-Jones has dedicated herself to public service.  She was elected locally in North Vancouver and West Vancouver, and served as West Van’s mayor from 2005 - 2011.  Most recently, Pam was the Member of Parliament for West Vancouver Sunshine Coast Sea to Sky Country, and was appointed by the Prime Minister as parliamentary secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The shift to becoming a PSF board member seems fitting as she has long been a voice for salmon on the west coast.  Pamela looks forward to resuming her work as a business consultant to public and private entities, to spending time with her family, and to contributing her volunteer time here at home.

“We were raised to put Pacific salmon first.  My Dad taught us to understand the creek behind our house and about the peril of culverting creeks in West Vancouver. He read aloud to us from Hubert Evans and Roderick Haig-Brown and took us fishing between the Capilano River and Gabriola Island. The community and all levels of government are grateful and proud of the research and partnership approach PSF takes and I am thrilled to be part of the team!" – Pamela Goldsmith-Jones
