Jason Quigley is currently the President and Founder of ERS Consulting Inc. a firm that specializes in helping clients manage the opportunities and risks at the nexus of regulatory and Aboriginal interactions.

For the five years prior to ERS, Jason was Executive Vice President, Regulatory & Stakeholder Affairs at Hunter Dickinson Inc. (HDI). Under his leadership, HDI has substantially enhanced its performance in sustainability and responsible mineral development, including entering into substantive partnerships with 14 First Nations groups across the country.

Prior to his time at HDI, Jason ran the federal environmental assessment office for British Columbia and the Yukon. In this capacity, he oversaw environmental assessment reviews for capital projects valued in excess of $50 billion while gaining valuable insights into the strategies and approaches necessary to successfully navigate federal and provincial permitting processes in Canada. While in government, Jason played a key role in the policy and legislative reform that led to passage of the new Canadian Environmental Assessment Act in 2012.

Earlier in his career, Jason was employed by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), where (among other responsibilities) he led a national evaluation of DFO’s performance in achieving its ‘no-net loss’ habitat conservation policy. He has worked as a consultant providing environmental and regulatory services to clients in industry, government and the non-profit sector. He holds a Bachelor of Science (SFU) and a Master’s of Science in Conservation Biology (UBC). Jason is an avid recreational angler, enjoying boating and fishing with his wife and twin children throughout British Columbia.
